Hi,

Odds and ends.

1: Archibald Bolling, of Red Oak. His Cary wife was a descendant of
Pocahontas. His bible gives 3 marriages not 4. The fourth appears to be
the other Archibald of record (son of William bc 1731).

2: I noted an old message which said Robert Bolling died in 1775 not
1769. Note this. Both death dates are found in records, there were two
men of this name. (Confused, so was Wyndham Robertson)

3: William Watson was connected to Robert Bolling in Surry Co. I have
not connected back into the Watsons, but James Pool m. Susannah Watson of
NC. James Pool of Randolph Co., NC ( my line) m. second Elizabeth
Skipper. Anyone working these lines, be nice to hear from you.

4: Thomas Eldridge, Sr m. Kennon, and Jr. matter of record in VA. So
was another man of this name about the age of the older Thomas Eldridge.
Anyone working these lines let me know. I have Eldridge line from Suggs
and William Deaton the Tory who named a son Eldridge Deaton who lived in
Randolph Co., NC.

5: Charles Boling about 1799 of Randolph Co.,NC m. Mary Graves. The
Graves lines are confused when you get back to 1750s. An older man named
Thomas Graves in Anson Co., and later the widow Sarah Graves lived near
John Graves in Randolph Co. Can anyone confirm Sarh was the wife of
Thomas? Other Graves in the area and one of the females appears to have
married a Boling, she born perhaps 1760s. This based on name use only.
Hope to connect.

6: I have an effort ot find all those folks (neighbors) of the 2 Boling
sets along the Little River, and the King family. Anyone researching any
names there let me know, I might have some information.

7: Randolph Co., NC records mostly intact, not so Montgomery Co. records
as the court house burned more than once. But, more records there than
one would think.

8: The Randolph Room in Asheboro Library is well kept and much to be
prased. Check them out when in Randolph Co., NC. Nice folks.

Ken Pool
