Thanks, Melba. I misspoke – the Jesse & Sarah I was thinking of were from King George County. Don’t know what made me say Orange County. Sorry. I found a deed there for them (which I have never transcribed). Here he is in a tax list – any idea who he might be?:
Bowling, Jesse

State: VA
County: King George Co.
Census/Enumeration year: 1782
Census type code: Tax List

Re our DNA Group 7 Bollings of Orange Co., VA., William Bolling and wife Ann (surname unknown), parents of Joyce's John Bolling and my Samuel Bolling. William and Ann's son Jesse, Am. Rev., died of illness at his mother's home during Revolution. Their daughter Sarah we only find mentioned as 'Sarah Bolling" in LWT of mother Ann Bolling in 1790. Nothing else has been found or is known of her.

  Hazael,

About the Jesse & Sarah Bolling and the birth of son William – I imagine that this is the Jesse & Sarah who lived in Orange Co., VA. If that is the case, they would not be our Jesse & Sarah of Group 5. They could be related to Joyce’s Bollings, but I don’t know.

Subject: [Bolling5] New Group Photo ca. 1920-40 and birth of a William son of Jesse and Sarah Bolling and deed showing location of land of James Bolling grant 1787 Pendleton Dist. SC

  Folks,

That is a really long heading, but that is what I have posted today. Please Ernie and Diane and Doris read the deed....under transcribed deed and land records. It appears that the land of the 1787 American Revolutionary Grant to James Bolling was on a ridge between 18 and 23 Mile Creeks. Then my James Bolling gets land on 23 Mile Creek. Later a John Bolding appears in this same area.

This is a strong reason for me to not eliminate that older James Bolling as mine's father.

For my other newly found relatives...see the family of 6 siblings - children of Robert Anderson Harvey Bolling. I might have labeled the men incorrectly as the only one I ever knew was the first male on the left Alexander Patton Bolding Jr. They are found in the family photos 1900 album.

Last but not least, from St. Paul's Parish Church Records a birth of a William son of Jesse and Sarah Bolling. Can this be our Group 5 DNA Jesse and Sarah Bolling? I know it is not the same parish where they married.

  Hazael
