Betty et al --
Surprise..... Jesse Perry S3655, Rev War Pension [on line], b 15 Mar 1755, Granville Co., NC moved to Duck River in 1812 [now Knox Co., TN]. He moved from Fairfield Co., SC. Apparently, Jesse was a Methodist Episcopalian, since his name appears in the early history with them. Duck River -- I'm assuming is the same as Duck Creek, or a branch thereof. Levi Bowling lived on Duck Creek, then Hawkins Co., TN. This Jesse Perry is an uncle of Jesse Perry who married Johanna Cooper -- see A.D.'s files. Did they follow Joseph Bowling & Valentine Haley, I wonder?

Here's another point; the Camps [Hazael & Doris] lived in early Pittsylvania/Halifax; some at least moved to SC. Hazael, I'm working from memory, so correct me on the Camps, please. I believe one of them married a daughter or son of Glass Caston who also married to a Waggoner --- who moved to TN. Glass Caston is mentioned in SC along with John Bolding [quite likely a son of James d1771, Pittsylvania].

The software on this computer doesn't allow me to switch back and forth to cut and paste for you easily as I have in the past and I miss that.

Ernie

Thanks, but it can’t be her. Talitha McGee was married to Tolliver Bolin and they always lived in Sullivan County. She didn’t die till about 1880 or after I think.

Many of us are related to the Tidence Lane mentioned in the citations [among other names]. Betty, there is a James Perry and Silus Perry there, too.
