[Bolling5] Searching for Larkin Bolin

[Diane Jones]

There are just a lot of Larkin Bolins. This Clayton Boling was born in NC so they may be Group 6.

Diane’s Larkin that she is inquiring about was born ca 1800 in Tennessee.

Recently I did a chart of the four Larkin Bs that I find -  So here goes



1. Larkin/Catharine [unknown parent]

1850 Morgan Co. TN age 36 b. TN

1860 Cumberland Co. TN age 43 b. TN

1870 Roane Co. TN age 64 [quite a jump in age] b TN

Not found in 1880



2. Larkin/Rebecca [suspect of NC]

1840 White Co. TN age 20-30

1850 White Co. TN age 37 b. NC

1860 Cumberland Co TN age 50 b. NC

1870 Jackson Co. TN age 59 b. NC

1880 White Co TN age 69 b. NC



3. Larkin/Jane [gson John {Sullivan Co.TN}]

1850 not found

1860 Sullivan Co TN age 26 b. TN

1870 Sullivan Co TN age 37 b. TN

1880 Sullivan Co TN age 46 b. TN

3a. Larkin [wife unknown nor parents] 

1830 Sullivan Co TN age 30-40 {listed next to Isaac Bolin

1840 Sullivan Co TN age 30-40 {listed above Tolivor w/Larkin son age u 5}



4. Larkin H /Katharine [s/o Jos-Val]

1830 Anderson Co TN age 40-50

1840 Anderson Co TN age 50-60

1850 Anderson Co TN age 64 b. VA

4a. Valentine Bolin listed 1830 Roane Co TN age 80-90



There are other Larkins which are various ages in several locations.

I am searching for links to Larkin Bolin b abt. 1800 in Tn.  Listed in Floyd Co. In.  1850 census  with Sarah, 51, James, 23, Elizabeth 21 and Susan 15; In 1860 he is in Washington Co. In with Sarah, 63, Susanah 24 and Nancy, 2; and in 1870 he is back in Greenville with Susan, 33 and Nancy 13. Daughter Susan/Susanah married Civil War vet John Wayman in 1877.  I will be grateful for any information on him.  Nancy was my great grandmother and died in 1883 at 27.  Thanks
