Well, that is most interesting given that I sent that stuff about the Major Bolling, servant, and Sheila did not respond. Has Sheila's line been tested to 67 markers?
The Acrees and Blevins live adjacent to the Group 5 descendants of John Bolling of Sullivan Co. Tenn. who matches my testee 67/67.

All --
Just picked this up while searching for Dillon and Isom Bolling who appeared in Clay Co., KY. This is part of a dialogue between Sheila and someone else on GenForum which I find very interesting! If I'm not mistaken there is a Drake in either Doris' or Hazael's lines. The Cawoods/Caywoods connect to my father's Maryland line [no connection to my Group 5 Bollings at least in my line] however, look at the Blevins-Caywood connection. Therefore it's the Blevins who intermarry with the Caywoods. Although this researcher is speaking of Group 3 Bowlings for the most part, to my knowledge Group 3 is not connected to the Blevins! Incidentally, one of the Blevins married the daughter of John Isom of Grayson Co., VA. Here's part of the discussion:
I am thinking we have two different but very related Harrisons. Mine is Harrison S. Yours Harrison C.
Sullivan Co Bk 9 p 434- Justice Boling sells bay mare colt bought from Mastain (Maston) Hall to Harison S Boling 18 June 1823
Justice's daughter, Mary, md into NC Halls of which Maston is a relative.
Thomas Good was witness to the mare's sale. Thomas was son-in-law of Justice. Probably related to Jacob Good I saw in records. Thomas Goode in mg record.
BTW:Justice had a brother, Rev, Jesse Boling who named his son, Justice Tucker Boling.
Justice was born mid 1700's, md Pattie Baker in Wilkes, NC Jan 1782 in double ceremony with Ellender Baker marrying Jesse Ray. Geo Wheatley officiated. Justice's daughter-in-law, Temperance (wife of Rev Andrew L Boling) stated that Justice was a brother of Jared. Some say Jared was Justice's father.
Sullivan Co Bk 15 p 185
Rebecca Bolin, widow of Harrison S Bolin sells to her brother, James Drake, both are children of Peter Drake- this was Feb 1848
Other Bolings in Sullivan records: Lucy "of Hawkins Co", John Sr, John Jr, Elizabeth, James, Isaac, Larkin, Joel, Toliver (Talliferro)
Names on Boling deeds/bill of sales: Stephen Majors, John Cawood, Peter Birchfield,John A Delaney, Thomas Majors, John Acree, Valentine Beidleman, Benjamin Bealer, Jacob Horn John Horn, Wm D Blevins, son Wm Blevins, Wm Walling
A family story relates that a line I am interested in is descended of Major John Boling. Many have doubted the story because there is no military record for a Major John Boling. I am thinking since many Sullivan deeds include the description of "to Major's corner, etc." that Major was a given name to John and not a military title. I am thinking a female may have brought the surname in with her marriage to a Boling and used it to name a son, Major John (or her name was used to name a grandson, Major John) Have you seen any Majors md to Boling relationships in your searches?
I plan to travel back up that way by the first week of August. Any specifics you can add will help me be a better researcher for all of us. I am a share type. Certainly I need to look for a Mitchell Boling.
