[Bolling5] Easleys on the 1800 Greenville Dist. Census

Just to answer one or two questions.   First of all Arvina stated Bolling Family
Association.   They are committed to several maintenance projects for the red
Bolling line and I just don't think they have the extra money.   The reunion
every two years is an additional expense.  That was the group that I was
addressing in answer to Arvina.

Now I don't know about the few of us who work here on Group 5.   But Doris and I
have both spent quite a bit and I believe that Diane has also.   John has to
maintain the website.   But I guess it is an open question that others can maybe
answer.

I do wonder....how the Sizemore thing has worked out.   If there are NO brick
walls do they all go back to Marjory Sizemore who lived next ot Bollings & Camps
[I think of my line] on Difficult Creek in Halifax?   Are you saying that they
know who all of the original immigrants were?

Now that sounds like a really productive way of doing it. Why couldn't we do the
same?  I also would like to see answers in this lifetime.

The DNA testing that has been done is usually paid for by the person who wants
the information.  My Sizemore and Reynolds Groups have some designated leaders.
Everyone researches to the best of their ability, but then, they are assisted by
the leaders.  The leaders decide which ancestor needs to be confirmed next.
Then they put out a call for a descendant of that individual to be tested.  All
members assist them in finding a descendant to be tested.  Then they assist in
persuading that individual to be tested.  If that individual has the money and
wants to pay, they pay.  If they neither have the money nor the desire, a
donation is taken up by the group.  I contribute.  We want to know our heritage
in our lifetime.  An amazing amount of information has been uncovered.
And...................none of it is blind alleys or brick walls.  We don’t end
up researching a paper trail of someone we are not related to.
